Gravel Cycling the Wild Vjosa: Valley Tracks, Suspension Bridges & Route Logistics

The sourcing frame for riding the valley — no invented kilometre counts, no named operators.

The terrain, sourced

AKT's pages place Këlcyrë between Trebeshinë and Nemërçkë and Përmet between Dangëlli and Trebeshinë, with the river running between the two towns. Valley-floor and foothill roads connecting the settlements are the natural fabric of any ride here.

What the sourced record does not contain: a route network, kilometre counts or surface classifications. So this note describes the logic of riding the valley rather than a route card.

River crossings

The valley's river crossings include pedestrian footbridges as well as the road links. Which of them suit a loaded bicycle is local, condition-dependent knowledge — exactly the kind of detail a verified local arrangement should settle, not a blog post.

Why no itinerary is published

A multi-day ride on this site requires the same gate as every offering: verified support, defined stages, fallback plans. Until that evidence exists, we publish the frame and keep the itinerary discipline. That is the difference between a route suggestion and a promise — we make neither yet.

The road-level picture is in the logistics note; the river crossings this depends on sit beside the gravel-bar note.
